Shock absorber

Shock absorbers work in much the same way in an air suspension as they do in a traditional truck seat air spring suspension. Their purpose is to dampen the action of the spring and limit the spring's movement to produce controlled motion. Without shock absorbers, the vehicle would bounce on the springs in an uncontrolled manner, resulting in very poor handling and stability.
